Soledad & Gerardo
Conchal Beach, on the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, was the beautiful place Soledad and Gerardo chose for their beach wedding. Both native Costa Ricans, but now living in Chile, had the desire for a tropical beach wedding in their home country. They wanted to walk barefoot to the aisle and both visualized hearing the sound of the ocean in the background of their ceremony. Soledad and Gerardo wanted to share the beauty of their country with their friends from Chile and also allow their friends and family from Costa Rica to be there on their special day.
Seventy-four guests traveled from Chile and different parts of Costa Rica to witness their vows on the stunning white sand beach of Conchal. With the sound of the waves in the background and the sand under her toes, Soledad said yes to her Gerardo.
Conchal is a secluded place, with an amazingly scenic setting. Soledad and Gerardo wanted to show the tropical beauty of the country, so their altar space was a wonderful set up of tropical flowers. The bright colored flowers represented joy to them, and joy and happiness is how they would describe their own relationship.
After the ceremony, sunset session and cocktail hour, the guests were greeted in the dining area, where the tables and chairs were decorated beautifully and placed on the beach. It was noticeable that they had drawn inspiration from the landscape and textures found in the tropics; tropical and colorful elements were featured in the designs and decorations. Even the favors; colorful traditional Costa Rican bird whistles, matched the decoration and it was the perfect gift to take home from a beach wedding. The atmosphere was dynamic and happy throughout the whole night. Soledad and Gerardo never had any doubts about getting married on Conchal Beach. They weren’t nervous at all, they just wanted to enjoy the beautiful day and couldn’t have been more content with their wedding and their wedding vendors.
We feel very honored that we were there, capturing the most special and important day of Soledad and Gerardo’s lives.
